Description
Expanding Marlo Lyda’s acclaimed first collection, Remnants, comes the latest addition to her family of perfectly imperfect pieces fashioned from reclaimed natural stone: Fragments. Born from observing the magical luminosity and transparency of onyx stone varieties, the Fragment Wall Light represent Lyda’s instinctive response to its material qualities, as she reflected in 2024,
“I’ve collected onyx out of love for over two years, but the pieces I found were too small and their transparency ill-suited for Remnants – it was always clear that onyx called for illumination.”
Each Fragment Wall Light is meticulously crafted to harmonize with the unique shape of every recovered piece of onyx. Although each Fragment is entirely unique, the collection continues and expands, encompassing both single and double-sconce variations.
The signature detailing, characterised by asymmetric scaffolding and copper-bound cross sections, remains a cornerstone of Lyda’s aesthetic. These elements are celebrated as part of the enduring character that Lyda perceives to be embedded within the stones she passionately collects, reimagines, and crafts.
