Description

Dean Toepfer’s Lambent series of wall and suspended lights utilise reclaimed parachute material, and bring an ethereal glow to any space. Designed to be mixed and matched – with wall and linear models of each size available in the full range of colours – they are equally suited for commercial environments, such as an office, foyer or retail, as they are in the home, providing mood and reading light for bedroom, lounge or dining room.

Parachute silk, having preserved lives and arrested falls, embodies a compelling narrative of strength and impermanence. Once vital, the material eventually expires, becoming unfit for its original purpose. By reclaiming and transforming the silk, Toepfer draws parallels between the life cycle of materials and the human experience of endings and beginnings.

Lambent lights run off 24V and are supplied for hard-wired installation, with multiple lights able to be run from a single driver, or with a dedicated transformer for a powerpoint. Lambent Wall lights can be hung at any angle. Also available in a large size, Lambent Wall (large).
